Would anyone know if the Echols who were living in Amelia co Va in the 1780's were associated somehow to the Hammocks or the Wrays/Rays in Virginia? they all ended up in Wilkes co Georgia in the 1790's whre Solomon Ray married Jane Echols in 1796 in Wilkes co Ga and Lewis Hammock signed as surety for their marriage. I am trying to find who Jane echol's parents were. She was born about 1779 but I don't know where. I know families sometimes traveled together back then and thought maybe they knew each other in Va. Thanks
