Thanks for the reply. After researching the Echools in Wilkes and Oglethorpe co Ga for over four years everything seems to indicate that Jane Echols who married Solomon Ray in 1796 in Wilkes co Ga was the daughter of James Echols but every site that lists his children does not list a Jane born about 1779 so I think it is probably the right line but not a daughter of James. thanks,Ross
