Have you by any chance found any more info about theEchols family? If you recall my ancestorwas Jane Echols who married Solomon Ray in 1796 in Wilkes co Ga. Oglethorpe co Ga was next to Wilkes co ga. I am still trying to find who the parents were of Jane Echols. I know she was born about 1779 in possibly NC bur maybe Virginia. A Lewis Hammock signed as surety for their marriage. Have you seen the Hammock family in your research associated with the Echols? thanks,Ross
