Ross,

My wife is from the Van Allen Echols line in Wilk$es County, Georgia. My Hammack line currently ends with Jesse Thomas Hammack in Newton County, Georgia in 1835.
It is belived at this time that Jesses father was also Jesse Hammock who may have been the son of Robert or Lewis Hammock.

I am not aware of Johnson Hammock in Georgia but there was a Johnson Hammock in Texas between 1836 and 1845.

Larry
