Maybe you can help me. I hope so. This Echols family is the most confusing family to research I have ever seen. Jane Echols married Solomon Ray in Wilkes co Ga. I am trying to find who her parents were. this is what is interesting. Solomon and Jane lived close to Milner Echols every where he lived. They lived in Wilkes and Jackson and Clarke co and Jasper co Ga. Solomon ray died in 1813 in Jasper co Ga. James Echols,father of Milner Echols, married a Palmer. Her maiden name was Milner. Milner Echols married a Sansom. Richard Dicken married a Sansom. Solomon Ray sued Richard Dicken in 1806 in Clarke co Ga. Milner Echol's son Robert Echols sued Richard Dicken. I don't know why they sued Richard Dicken. A researcher said Richard Dicken was the guardian of orphans. Could Jane Echols have been a Palmer or Sansom or Milner and just assumed the Echols name? If you have any info about thes people that could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks,Ross
