I have names for you! (Mimi and I have worked together in the past, come from the same line. I know of which she speaks).

Echlin, Thomas
Private, Ireland
located in Bathurst (Lanark County Ont)
17th Regiment, 9th con.

He was granted land in Canada for his service in the war of 1812, lost a leg in the war, had a son also named Thomas among others, and his wife was Mary Early (Earley?) we can't find out how they got from Ireland to Canada or from where in Ireland they came from, though everything seems to put them around Dublin area. Dunno who Thomas' father was, but names Thomas Henry Caroline James appear over and over again in the family line.
