Scott,
Do you know if your uncle Robert Chimalis y Chavarry could have been the Roberto Chavarry Frank Chavarry went to live with in NY? Do you know what your uncle "Joe Marquez's" real name was? I don't know if my grandfather had any other NY relatives. He did have an older sister (I think she may have come to NY with him) but I don't know her name. She died in chldbirth. Perhaps, since she was older she did stay in PR and died there. Frank's parents had passed at the time he came to NY.
Scott, thank you so much again for all your help. Until the day Grandpa died, he always kept his strong Hispanic accent and knowing that he was possibly born and raised in PR probably explains a lot. If you need any info, please let me know. Thanks again,
Kim
