John Eccleston (1793-1868)was convicted at the Lancaster Assizes on March 21 1818 and sentenced to 7 years transportation to NSW.He arrived in NSW on the "Lord Sidmouth" on 11 March 1819.I have a direct line of the Family Tree from that date.We in OZ are now quite proud of
our tainted past.
Can anyone assist with details of Johns background in the
UK.
