Hello, Ron. I read your posting and related others with interest. I have been unable to place my ancestor MATILDA EBERHARD but feel she is likely connected to your line given 1) the geographical proximity – born in Lehigh County and 2) the fact that she named a son Llewellyn. The latter seems striking as Matilda’s husband’s family lines were virtually all German and I don’t see the Welsh Llewellyn coming from that side, so wonder if maybe my Llewellyn Albright and your Llewellyn Eberhard could possibly be cousins named after a common ancestor? Here’s what we know. MATILDA EBERHARD (1819-1861), born in Emmaus, Lehigh County PA. She was said to have a brother DANIEL EBERHARD ( a couple of candidates found in census records for Upper Milford Twp.). She was said to have a sister RACHEL EBERHARD (possibly the daughter of Henry Eberhard who married Charles Dickinschied? Note that Matilda named a son Henry). In 1841 Matilda married John Albright (1820-1903), a carriage maker/blacksmith of Allentown; they moved to adjacent Northampton County. After she died John married again and moved to Hope, Indiana. The children of Matilda and John were: •ALLEN ALBRIGHT (1842-1910). •HENRY V. ALBRIGHT (1844-1848). Died of polio. •HERMAN ALBRIGHT (1846-1848). Died of polio. •LLEWELLYN ALBRIGHT (1847-1904). Was crippled in one leg by polio. Moved to Hope, Indiana prior to 1870 and married Mary Ellen Bruner; partner in Hoosier Carriage Works. •MARY ALBRIGHT (1849). •MATILDA ALBRIGHT (1851-1852) •HOWARD ALBRIGHT (1854-1857) •CHARLES ALBRIGHT (1857-1921). •EMMA ALBRIGHT (1858-1921). Moved to Indiana. •ANNA MAY ALBRIGHT (1859-1952). [this is my great-grandmother] Would you have any information that might help me? Thanks very much! Notify Administrator about this message?
