Have you tried Ohio Historical Society webpage? Stark County, Ohio also has a Historical Society/webpage.

My g-grandfather was Johann(John) Eber, came to America c 1846 He was b. in Unterrodach, Bavaria (It is now Marktrodach) Think he came into Port of NY - not sure. He m. in Honesdale PA 1852. Have no record of his family in Germany. We may be related but lots of Ebers in Germany and PA.
