Hi Dawn!
Well, if you really don't know much about your father's family, you are going to be excited to hear from me.We have cousins in common!Your father's sister, Rose was my mother's brother's wife which made her one of my favourite aunts. Unfortunately, she died about 15 years ago, or so.But, she had five children and one of them Roger, lives down the road from me with his wife and three children.
There are many of your cousins in Edmonton, Alberta both decendants of Rose and Lineve.
My mom is here with me (Ellen Hamilton, nee Ebanks and she grew up in Flagaman where most of your relatives were/are. She knew your dad since childhood and all of his siblings and his parents (your grandparents).I also met Rema shortly after my (our) aunt Rose died. She was lovely.Lineve and Enid both still live out there in Flagaman so I guess you will be seeing them.If you don't know, you should be able to just look them up in the phone directory.Lineve's married name is Powell and Enid is Barnett--try Joslyn Barnett in Flagaman. Everyone knows him.
If you want to know anything else, just write back as my mom is totally familiar with this whole family and her home is a short walk from your dad's family home.We are practically cousins!
