This is what I can tell you about William Eaves, possible son of Graves and Elizabeth Eaves.Hope this helps.
i. WILLIAM EAVES - Born by 1719, because he was old enough to own land in 1740.Married MARY (---)by 1743.
On 6 Aug. 1740, Graves Eaves of Brunswick County, Va., sold to William Eaves of Brunswick County for £15 a tract of land containing about 120 acres located on the north side of the Meherrin River, Brunswick County, being part of a 440-acre tract patented to the said Graves Eaves. The deed was signed by Graves Eaves and witnessed by Samuel Chamberlain, David Syms and John Crosland; and recorded 7 Aug. 1740.
On 5 July 1743, William Eaves of Brunswick County, Va., sold for £25.10.00 to Jacob Woolsey of King William County the 120 acres of land sold to him by Graves Eaves on 7 Aug. 1740.Mary, William's wife, voluntarily relinquished her dower rights in the land conveyed.Recorded 7 July 1743.
He may have moved about then to Granville County, N.C., because a William Eaves married to a Mary first appeared in Granville County, N.C., records in 1746.
