Jim,
My ancestor is Noah Hampton Eaves, a brother to Jonathan Eaves. Records supplied to me by two very nice ladies indicate the following. Jonathan Eaves born 1790, Rutherford County, North Carolina, married Nancy Womack, Oct. 10, 1809, Died June 11, 1843, Madison, Ill. He was the son of William S. Eaves, b. 1750, Brunswick Co., Virginia, died 1831, Jasper, Marion Co. Tenn., married Susannah Hampton in 1774, Rutherford Co. N.C. She was born 1755/1759, Lincoln Co. N.C. They had: Catherine, Andrew, Benjamin, Soloman, Sarah, Jonathan, Nancy, William S, and Noah Hampton. William S. Eaves father was Graves Eaves II and mother was Nancy Yancy. Susannah Hampton's father was Andrew Hampton and mother was Catherine Elizabeth Hyder. I do have a little more information on the family. You can contact me at my E-Mail or call me at 1-870-325-6816 or by mail at Rufus Buie, P.O. Box 226, Rison, AR 71665.
Hope this helps.
Rufus
P.S. It is my understanding that William S. Eaves, Graves Eaves II and Col. Andrew Hampton were all Revolutionary War Soldiers.
