Are you still looking for information on Harmon E. Eaves?
I am working on a book on the ancestors and descendants of Bartlett Eaves. Harmon E. was one of his descendants. I have just begun collecting information on Harmon E. Eaves This briefly, is what I know about his ancestors:
1. William Eves and his unknown wife
2. Graves Eves and wife, Elizabeth Jones
3. Graves Eaves/Eves II and his unknown wife, believed by some to have been a Yancy
4. Bartlett (Yancy?) Eaves and wife, believed to have been Charity Berryman Lewis
5. Graves Eaves and wife Margaret Suttle.
6. Harmon E. Eaves
Briefly, this is all I now know for sure about Harmon E. Eaves:
HARMON EAVES was born about 1824 in Alabama, almost certainly Perry County; died ? He married (1) Elizabeth ?, probably about 1848 in Mississippi. She was born about 1831 in Mississippi and had died by 1859. He married (2) Rebecca Suggs 10 Aug. 1859 in Lauderdale County, Miss. She was born about 1839 in Mississippi.
He was living in Lauderdale County, Miss., in 1850, 1860 and 1870. Moved to Louisiana when? ?
The children of Harmon and Elizabeth Eaves that I am aware of were:
Keziah Cornelia Eaves - Born about 1849 in Mississippi, almost certainly Lauderdale County.
Susan N. Eaves - Born about 1838 in Mississippi, almost certainly Lauderdale County. CJ says she married E.N. Hall 4 Nov. 188- in Natchitoches Parish, La.
Adolphus Eaves - Born about 1847 in Mississippi, almost certainly Lauderdale County. C.J. says he married Mary E. Elkins 27 April 1885 in Natchitoches Parish, La.
The children of Harmon and Rebecca (Suggs) Eaves that I am aware of:
Doldens? Eaves - Born about 1861 in Mississippi, almost certainly Lauderdale County
Dollie Eaves - Born about 1863 in Mississippi, almost certainly in Lauderdale County.
Edgar Eaves - Born about 1866 in Mississippi, almost certainly in Lauderdale County.
James Eaves - Born about 1868 in Mississippi, almost certainly Lauderdale County. C.J. says his middle name was Madison and that he married Edutha Adela Orsburn,
I am still collecting information on Harmon Eaves' and his children. Which child is your husband's ancestor?
If you have additional information on Harmon Eaves and some of his descendants, I would be grateful if you would be willing to share it. If I am able to use it in the book, you will, of course, be given full credit. By the way, I am not including the names of anyone now living in the book. And, if I have no death record for someone, I am not using his/her name if born he/she was born after 1905.
