Alan,
Have you gotten the information you were looking for on Louisa Jane Eaves? My data indicates she was the daughter of Benjamin Eaves (1810)of Union County, IL. who is part of the Jon Eaves (1636) of VA line. Her father moved the family to Texas in 1853 and is quite a story of ranches, cowboys and the pioneering of Texas and Oklahoma.I'm not sure whether she and West stayed in Ill. Let me know if you've found anything out about that and if you need additional info.
