I am wondering if anyone has concrete information regarding William EAVES born 1795 Rutherford Co,NC and died bet 1820-1830 Limestone Co, AL. He's defineately alive in 1820 Limestone Co, AL, and not alive in 1830.
I've seen several trees listing his wife as Martha Yancey/Yancy, however I find no proof of her maiden name, although I did find her estate probate for 1858.
My question is regarding their son Davidson Eaves. (found Davison/David/Davis) born Sept 8, 1814 and died Jan 28, 1888. I have most of his descendants, but there seem to be so many "trees" out there that have either mixed this Davidson Eaves with other Davis's (ect..) For example mixing him with the Davidson Eaves who was born in 1790 Rutherford Co, NC who is supposedly the son of William Eaves and Susannah Hampton.
I personally feel from searching that the Davidson Eaves born 9-8-1814 is the grandson of Davidson Eaves born 1767 in Brunswick Co, VA. Who is also a mystery as to who is correct wife is. (or wives?). I notice that various trees keep linking surnames of the wives' as YANCEY/YANCY, yet I can find no Eaves married to any YANCY's anywhere...at any time. Not to say there weren't any, but does anyone happen to have a REAL marriage of an Eaves to a YANCEY female at all ?
If anyone out there has something tangleable, I would be very greatful to exchange info, and happy to share what I have collected.
