Has anyone heard of a Polk Co, GA EAVES family
of William M. EAVES b 1854/58 GA.
I know is wife is Eliza Reaves b Nov 1858 (likely Floyd Co, GA) . she's d/o Thomas Reaves & Temperance Morris
His mother was named Martha b July 1834 GA
I found them in 1880 Cedartown, Polk Co, GA as
Wm 22
Eliza 21
William F. 1mth
Eaves, Martha mother 45 F/Wid GA GA GA
Reeves, Tempy mom-law 67 F/Wid GA GA GA
In 1870 the possible match is Polk Co, GA
Eaves, Lewis 68 farmer SC
Martha 34 GA
Sarah 38 GA
William 12 GA
(because there's no relation listed, I'm not sure whether the Martha above is Lewis's 2nd wife and Wm their son, or
if she is the widow of one of Lewis Eaves's sons, living with her father in law. She's obviously younger then Sarah, so if she's Lewis's wife, he had to have had a previous marriage.)
They seem to have resided in Van Wert, GA area, and later in Cedartown, GA. I don't have too much trouble finding William M, married with his children, but I am having trouble connecting this Polk Co, GA family of Eaves to any other Eaves families....
anyone ?
