Dear Jennifer...I am new to email and the internet (being only 4 days into this), but I found your message of 31 Jan 1999 in the GenForum relative. I also found the third cousin (Emma Lee Garrett) who posted messages on Usrey Brown and Lucinda Eaves, having lost touch with each other 20 years ago.
My line of Eaves is Jon Eves, Wm. Eaves, Graves Eaves I, Graves Eaves II, Bartlett Eaves, Howard Harvey Eaves (& Faithy Price), and Lucinda Eaves (& Usrey Brown), then to Wm. Thomas Brown. This line moved from VA to NC to GA (Jasper Co), AL (Perry & Marengo Co), MS (Pontotoc, Lee, Itawamba Co), ARK (Hempstead, Clarke, Sebastian Co), then to TX (Dallas & Johnson Co).
I am going down to DC later this week, especially to the DAR Library and want to continue with the Eaves/Brown line there. Your GenForum message indicated that Eaves information is available at the Isothermal Community College in Spindale, Rutherford Co, NC. Do you know if any of this information is duplicated in another repository, such as DAR?
I am starting work on a supplemental application for Graves Eaves and I am missing some of the older generation information. I'd be grateful for any ideas that you have for accessing information in the mid-atlantic region.
