Linda, have you run across William Bartlett Eaves in your Eaves searches? He was born 16 November 1819, Montgomery Co AL; grew up in Marengo Co AL. Married Permelia Pruitt in Noxubee Co MS 11 May 1843. Moved to Burleson Co TX after 1850 Amite Co MS census. Lived rest of life in Texas: counties of Milam, Falls, Brazos. Was a Baptist missionary and pastor, establishing many churches in Texas.
