The Eatoughs

Hello everyone. My name is Alan Eatough. I live in Norfolk, England. My father's family came from Blackburn Lancashire. Some remain there, others have migrated to Devon.
Eatough - A name that I hated when I was a child as other children tended to make fun of it. Now however, I am pleased that I have an unusual name. I have heard that Eatoughs came to England from the continent in the middle ages as wood carvers working in churches and stayyed in the Whalley area of Lancashire. I also think that an Eatough is mentioned as having come over with William The Conqueror as a foot soldier. I believe that there are some Eatoughs in the state of Utah, USA.
