I noticed that your locations are Chorlton on Medlock and Fallowfield which are areas close to and South of Manchester town centre. My mothers maiden name was Eatough and she was born in Crumpsall close to but North of Manchester town centre. I'm guessing the distance from Crumpsall to Chorlton is around 6-8 miles ?
I don't know much about my Mothers family and suspect a lot of what I've been told are fairytales - I have NEVER met an Eatough outside of my mothers sisters. My Mother Iris was born 1919 and was the 4th daughter to George and Emily Eatough - do you have a 'George' in your tree ?
