Eaton's in Schodack NY 1750-1820

In the of John of Dedham line (John1, John2, Thomas3, Nathaniel4, John5) there are 3 generations of Johns that lived in Schodack NY.
John5 was born in Ashford CT in 1786, moved to New Concord with several family members, then later to Schodack. John6 was born in Schodack in 1757, and John7 was also born there in 1817. Sister to John7 is Lany Ann Westfall and her descendants are well documented.
We are seeking any information on John7. Based on data from the Daniel Cady Eaton papers, he married Cecile Hart of New Orleans and they went to Cuba where he was involved with building the first railroad in eastern Cuba, Principe & Nuevitas Railroad. While there they had 2 sons, Alfredo and Jasper. John7 died there in 1856. Alfredo and Jasper returned to NY, but not together as best I can tell.
John7 was born in the shadow of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, founded by close relative Amos Eaton, yet he never attended RPI. Educated as a civil engineer, we are at a loss as to where he may have been educated. Maybe on the way to, or in, New Orleans where Cecile was from? Him going south is more likely than her going north.
Aside from the Daniel Cady Eaton papers the trail from Nathaniel4 to John7 is virtually non-existant. Even census records are of little help, mostly due to only listing the head of household prior to 1850.
If anyone has any knowledge of the 3 Johns of Schodack, or Polly Schermerhorn (aka Mary, Maria, b 1783, married to John6), or Elizabeth Braman (1757-1830, married to John5), or Cecile Hart (unk) we'd love to hear from you!
Thanks, John
