Charles Aubrey Eaton
My great-grandfather finally made it into Wikipedia.

I'm not sure who wrote the min-bio, but it's pretty close. What the author neglected to mention is that while "Doc Eaton," as he was sometimes known, was an opponent of the New Deal, he was also a regular informal advisor to presidents Roosevelt and Truman, especially regarding foreign policy. FDR invited Doc Eaton to work on developing the UN Charter. Doc Eaton wrote much of it and he was a signer of the charter in San Francisco in 1945.
That was back when Democrats and Republicans were more civil to one another! I'm still hoping for that time to return.
