I've just received from NC Cultural Resources the 1807 will of Allen Jones - one of the witnesses to his signature was Pinkethman Eaton (though handwriting looks like "Penkethman."
My family ancestor, Mary Haynes, was the 1st wife of Allen Jones and his 2nd wife Rebecca Edwards mother was Anne Eaton Haynes & her 2nd husband Nathaniel Edwards.
I am very interested in learning the names of this Pinkethman Eaton's parents, most parricularly as my Haynes family was so very connected with the Eaton's, through intermarriage.
Anyone know anything of this particular Pinkethman Eaton??? I would imagine he was in Northampton Co, NC.
