Thanks for the info.I presume some of the people buried in the small village cemetary that are not direct ancestors of mine may be relatives.I am trying to find out why there are numerous names of known American families in this one small village cemetary in Illinois. The Funkhouser family of mine in this cemetary came from Kentucky, along with the Cross family in Burnt Prairie, Carmi, possibly Fairview of White and Wayne counties, Illinois. This may help to explain why the Eaton family is in the Effingham, Illinois area, since they appear to possibly have come from Kentucky, according to your reference to the Crockett you mentioned and since you are from Kentucky yourself.Wilson Lee Funkhouser(my gggruncle) was b. in Bowling Green, Ky, and his wife was grniece of P. Henry of Virginia. If the Eaton family intermarried with anyone in the Effingham or Funkhouser, Illinois area, the Eaton researchers may want to check out info in the Effingham area.I have posted info on other surname boards that may be of help to the Eaton family if David Eaton and his wife Winnie Eaton are indeed relatives of mine.Presley Funkhouser and his wife Nancy Bishop as well as all of Presley's siblings have close ties to several families, possibly of interest to you.
I will check out the messages of Joe Woodall. One of the Eaton's was at Tripoli in the early 1800's!!!Fascinating!
Thanks,
Ernest
