Eula Mae Burris Eaton Beavers, 95 June 13, 2005
Eula Mae Burris Eaton Beavers, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 13, 2005, at an Etowah health care facility.
She was a loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and was the oldest living member of Jones Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Eaton and Bill Beavers; one son, James Eaton; her mother, Ida Fox; her father and stepmother, Woody and Amanda Burris; and her twin infant brother, Hula Ray Burris.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Sue Eaton of Athens; two daughters and one son-in-law, Betty Isbell of Cleveland, and Reba Sue and Mason “Mutt” Akins of Athens; one grandson, Ricky Akins; four granddaughters, Kathy Fugate, Pan Cathy, Shawna Crowe and Karla McDonald; six great-grandsons; six great-granddaughters; two great-great-grandsons; one half-brother and spouse, James and Mildred Burris; one stepson and spouse, W.H. and Charline Beavers; one stepdaughter and spouse, Mary and Dean Rinehart; three step-grandsons; one step-granddaughter; and two step-great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery and will conclude with a white dove release provided by the funeral home.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
