I have a few questions regarding John Eaton of Dedham. Has it been proven that he was the son of Nicholas Eaton?Has an actual parish record been found which would substantiate numerous birthdate entries of 21 August, 1611?I have found an actual parish record for a John Eaton, christened 12 March, 1599, St. Mary The Virgin, Dover, Kent, England; Father: Nicholas Eaton IGI batch #C036561, source 0355633 Parish registers, transcrips for St. Mary the Virgin 1557-1849; Church of England, Dover, Kent. This would seem to be more in keeping with the age of his wife Abigail when she arrived on the Eliza. & Ann in 1635. She is listed as age 35 (b.@1600). Abigail Eaton, 35; Mary Eaton, 4; Thomas Eaton 1; Jane Dammand/Damon (presumably her daughter from a previous marriage).John Eaton and his step son John Dammand/Damon are not listed on the passenger list.Has anyone found them listed on a ship's passenger list?He is given a bequest in John Eaton's will (written as John Damant of Reading)I also understand that much of the Eaton genealogy by Molyneux 1911 has been called into question recently.
