Uncle Sam (Eaton) Wants You!
That's right. Whether it is Samuel, Nathaniel Theiophilus, John, or Daniel, or any of the other thousands of Eaton ancestors hoping to be found; whether by the spelling of name of Eyton, Eton, Eighton, Etton,Etton, Ettone, Ayton, Leaton, Deaton, or the name (possibly) of Pantulf, Warin or FitzAlan; whether in Tennessee, Ohio, Texas, Australia, Canada or Ireland, there is something valuable for Eaton researchers at http://www,eatongenealogy.comhttp://www,eatongenealogy.com
This is the web site of the reconstituted Eaton Families Association, a not-for-profit genealogy research group active in the 19th and early 20th centuries and formed again to break through brick walls of ancestry.
There is a terrific gedcom of the Dover (Kent, England) and Dedham (Mass) branches online, with work going on right now that will enable Members to add there's.
There are Archives loaded with Eaton information, rare documents, family stories, photos and more. There is an Eaton-only chat room allowing exchanges between family members (without the world listening in)
There is a link to the Eaton Bulletin Board here at genforum.com.
There is a monthly e-newsletter. And, there are some very capable and well informed family researchers adding material regularly.
For example, all of the 19th century work of the Revs. R. W. Eyton and George Morris, relating to the Eaton/Eyton family have been transcribed and added to the site.
This represents months and months of work and has the equivalent value of a trip to England. There will be more since the site has been up for just four months... although it is so filled with information you'd think that we had been at it for years.
So, find Uncle Sam by joining the Eaton Families Association. We are 67 ardent family researchers now and growing. We have paid an Initiation Fee and Annual Dues to create the Association and what we believe is a world class web site.
An application form and all the information you need to join are available at the site's visitor section. You can get a small taste of what we are doing there, so drop in and take a look. That's...
