Bryan:
All the data below comes from published town Vital
Records.
A Sarah Eaton was born to Nathaniel & Lucy Eaton
in Lancaster Sep 18 1776.
A Nathaniel Eaton married a Lucy Barrett Dec 30, 1778
NOTE THE DISCREPANCY!
A couple named Nathaniel & Lucy Eaton had 11 children
in Lancaster between 1776 & 1800.
There is a death record (and inscription) in Lancaster
for a Nathaniel Eaton which reads as follows.
NATHANIEL EATON | died Feb 24 1826, AE 82
"I know that my redeemer liveth, " | Hail Glorius Gospel | Heavenly Light|
Whereas we live with comfort, | and with hope we die".
That death record if age is accurate places his birth
Bet. Feb 25, 1742/43 - Feb 24, 1743/44. N.B. this
means that he was abt 33-34 when he married Lucy.
That is VERY unusual, unless Lucy is his SECOND
wife. It would be very useful to find an earlier
marriage for a Nathaniel say c1765 whose wife then
died before -say- 1776. (www.familysearch.org ought
to be able to help on that)
www.familysearch.org has only one Nathaniel who fits
that date. Familysearch.org says he was born in Haverhill
There IS a Nathaniel born in Haverhill May 05, 1743.
However, a Lt Nathaniel (presumably the same one) m.
in Haverhill to a Rebecca, and Lt Nathaniel & Rebecca
continued to have children from 1767-1785.
Now there is another Nathaniel who familysearch.org says
was born Boston 24 Jul 1744 to Nathaniel & Mercy Trott
(m. Boston Aug 26, 1743 by Rev. Mather Byles)
They had no more children in Boston.
That should move you along a bit
