Thanks Sandra, but, I am aware of the Baptists from the other lines, and their migration,
I just cannot seem to find a place for the GA group I mentioned, who do not migrate the same.
*William Eaton, Sr. age 78 in 1850 Lumpkin Co GA Census, listed as b. VA
(appears in Habersham CO GA records abt 1820, then Lumpkin after 1830)
Founding member of Providence Baptist Church, in Habersham
Could this be the same William Eaton listed in 1810 Pendleton Co SC census,
the same origin as the Bruce's?
*William Eaton, Jr. age 49 in 1850 Lumpkin Co Ga Census, listed as b. SC
married first, Sarah Bradley Bruce from Wolf Creek, SC
He also appears in Habersham records, 1820 and 1830, then Lumpkin CO from 1834 on
*Samuel K. Eaton, (my line) age 45 in 1850 Lumpkin Co Ga Census, listed as b. SC
married Juda Williams b. TN, their children listed in this census, are William A (my line)
Sarah Ann, Hannah, Samuel K., Malinda, Martin, John, and Louisa
in 1830 Habersham Census, (he is entered directly under line of a William Eaton)
listed as Deacon in Baptist Church records in Lumpkin CO
Active Baptist after final settlement in AL
*James Eaton, b. abt 1805 NC/SC ?
married Betty Elizabeth Bruce of Wolf Creek, SC
appears in the 1830 Habersham CO Census, and 1832 Land Lottery
final settlement, into AL
*John Eaton, b. abt 1799
married Rebecca Bruce, of Wolf Creek, SC
in Habersham CO records, then Lumpkin Co records in 1838
*Betsy Eaton ?
1st wife of Aquilla Bruce, of Wolf Creek, SC
(Aquilla Bruce is next door to one of the Wm Eaton's in 1830 in Habersham)
*Elizabeth Eaton ?
married David Hill Dec 1826, in Habersham CO
For what it's worth, also mentioned in the early minutes from Providence Baptist Church
of Habersham in addition to a William Eaton are; Lary Eaton, and a George W. Eaton,
who was dismissed by letter in 1834
The 1830 Habersham Co census has the following Eaton's: my Samuel Eaton pg 7,
a William Eaton pg 7, a William Eaton pg 59, a William Eaton pg 61 (3 listings?).
I continue to have no clue about the origination of the many Eaton's who appear in
early Habersham Co Ga records. Surely, most are related somehow?
