I have two copies of Hussey Arms in file, both identical, except that one has a crest and is dated 1165. The crest is kind if strance, it is a spurred black boot. This crest was borne by the Hussey family who lived in what is now the Albright Hussey hotel very near Shrewsbury in Shropshire.
I make a point of saying this because, as we belive, our line of Eatons came from Shropshire.
There was, although I don't have the detail, a Hussey family connection with Pigot and some ancestral properties came into the hands of the Corbets.
So, wondering aloud, perhaps it is possible that the Eytons/Eatons and Husseys knew each other "back in Shropshire" before there was a marital relationship in Kent.
The Husseys were certainly in Lincolshire. I didn't know about York. But they were in Shropshire, ireland, Scotland (I think) and probably like so many of these families elsewhere as well.
