Michael: Tomorrow, I shall try to identify my "mistakes" posting and will send it to you. but, off the top of my head, these are some of the things I wish that I had done and did not. As for things that I wish that I did not do, it was spending a great deal of time and money reading Morris manuscript information and other so-called pedigrees copied from his work and that of Eyton.. . all this in the Shropshire Records office. The original Eyton volumes can be accessed at major universities and I can do that her in new Haven at Yale. I wish that I had known about manorial records earlier. There may be some for the Eyton/Eaton manors. I wish that I had understood how incredibly connected all the Eyton AND Eaton places in Shropshire (and probably Wales and definitely Cheshire) are. I wish that we had done some research in Oswestry, as well as Shropshire, and that we had had time to do the same in Chester, although alternate pursuits were a delight. I wish that I had used the british museum collection. I wish that I had gotten more College of heralds information and taken advantage of it in London. I wish that I had known (or found out ahead of time) that nothing in London, except the Guild Hall library (of some, but minimal use) are closed on Saturday, as well as Sunday. I plan to recitfy some of this when we return in the spring, probably our final trip in this lifetime. Thank you for your offer to make copies. That is generous beyond words. I had (professionally) copied "The Sheriffs of Shropshir. It cost me $175. I won't be doing a great deal of such copying going forward, but ewill offer it for republication at the Association web site and availability to all. Rick
