Williamson Co Tn Deed Book C, pg. 456:
This indenture made this sixth day of April in the year of our Lord 1810 between John Eaton of the County of Halifax and State of NC of the one part and John Henry Eaton of the County of Williamson and State of Tennessee, son of the said John Eaton of the other part Witnesseth: that the said John Eaton for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and beareth unto the said John Henry Eaton his son and also for the better maintance etc. etc.
Williamson Co Tn Book E, pg. 261. Power of Attorney made by John Eaton & registred 10 May 1818. Know all men by these presents that John Eaton of the town & county of Halifax and State of NC have constituted made & appointed & by these presents do constitute make & appoint my son Jno. H. Eaton my true & lawful attorney, for me & in my name & stead to ask for & receive all sums of money & debts, now or which may hereafter become due, etc.etc.
John H. Eaton was named in his father John Eaton's will dated 30 Nov 1811 in Halifax Co NC, Will book 3, pg. 528 and in Williamson Co Tn, Will book 2, pg 364 and probated Jan. 1817. He died in Oct. 1816.
John H. Eaton was named in his mother Elizabeth Hall Eaton's will in Williamson Co Tn in Will Book Vol. 8, pg. 110-111 & 122, Nov. term 1843.
John H. Eaton & wife Myra E. Eaton m. 23 Dec 1813 in Davidson To Tn and sold land in Williamson Co Tn in Jan 1815. After Myra's death he m. on 1 Jan 1829 to Margaret O'Neil Timberlake (wid) John H. Eaton was born 18 June 1790 in Halifax Co NC and died 17 Nov 1856 in Washington, DC.
The only children mentioned in either John or Elizabeth Eaton's wills were John H. Eaton, Mary Pauline Eaton who m. Edward Breathitt and Ann E. Henderson.
