New information on Lucia or Lucy Eastwood, the wife of Lewis Eastwood!
First of all, I found her death record in New York City. It says she died 5 August 1832, age 73, and she was born in New Jersey, giving a year of birth of 1759 in New Jersey.
Second, I have found a record of her transmittal from Hightstown, New Jersey, to the Oliver Street Baptist Church.
We know that her husband, whom she married around 1790, was living in Allentown, New Jersey at one point.
Therefore, we are now looking for a Lucy or Lucia, born in Hightstown, Allentown, or nearby, in the year 1759.
Any help would be welcome! That area was very sparsely settled in that time period, and the name Lucy or Lucia is not that common prior to the Revolution, so any suggestions as to her identity would be welcome!
