My paternal grandfather was David Crabtree Eastwood who was born in Yorkshire/Lancashire, England. He immigrated to Northeastern Massachusetts (Lawrence, Lowell, Andover) area either in late 19th century or early 20th century. He worked in the textile mills in the area. He married Elizabeth Shorten in the USA and had one son James Eastwood who later settled in the Cincinnati,Ohio area. After his wife died, he re-married, Catherine Moran (my grandmother). They had 7 children together, Arthur, Jonas, Thomas (my father), David, Rita, Julia and John. My grandfather died in Andover, MA in July 1923.
I don't know if my grandfather had siblings, but names like, Ruben, Frederick, Arthur and Julia have surfaced in conversations with relatives.
If any of these names sound familiar to you, drop me a line. I'm very interested in learning about my Eastwood ancestry.
