Robert's middle name is found spelled both ways. In a letter from his daughter, Repea, spelled it Gabriel. In the family Bible of Jennie, his 1st wife, wrote his name Robert G. Taylor. Jennie gave the Bible to Lucille, Robert's 2nd wife and she wrote Robert Gabriel Taylor. Lucille was the informant on his death certificate and his name is spelled Robert Gabril Taylor. The index for the WWI registration has Robert Gabriel. Comparing the handwriting for his name at top of card and his signature at bottom of card, someone other than Robert wrote in the information, which would explain why his middle name at top of card is not that plain, especially the last part. He signed the card Robert Gabril Taylor.
