My great grandmother was Ellen Sarah Eastwood. She was born in England in 1910 (probably around the Woolwich area). She married Walter Edward Thomas who was born in England 1906. Walter died in 1985 and Ellen died in 1986. Walter and Ellen were married in 1929 in Ontario Canada on their way to Detroit to work with family (not sure if that was Thomas or Eastwood family). In 1932 Walter and Ellen returned to live in England. Ellen's family the Eastwood's were of gypsy heritage. If any one has any links in their ancestry to Ellen I would love to know and hear about it - I would love to know who Ellen's parents were or of any siblings she had. I was fortunate enough to meet Ellen when I was a teenager - pity I didn't have enough interest to ask then!!
