Searching for John Eastwood, who was born 19 Feb 1797 in Methley, Yorkshire, the son of John Eastwood (born 1773 ?) and Anne Atkinson (of Methley or Ripon). John Eastwood and Ann Atkinson moved to Houghton-le-Spring, Durham about 1804 and many other children were born -- Joshua, William, Joseph, Sarah, and Mary Ann. John, Jr. (born Methley 1797) married Hannah Lambton in Houghton-le-Spring in 1824 and had the following children -- Jane E., Mary and Sarah Ann; then their family disappeared from the area.
