Follow up research of Easton's.
Ansel Ives Easton born 19 or 10 Mar 1919, Mt Washington, Columbia, New York. Father: Samuel Easton, no record of his birth of death. Mother: Fanny Ives born 1788, married
Samuel Easton 13 Aug 1809 Spencertown, Monroe, NY.

Ansel Ives Easton md. Adeline (Addie) Mills 20 Aug 1857
at San Francisco.

Addie Mills born CA,1836,of family of wealthy Calif. farmers

Ansel & Addie on honeymoon, sailed on SS Central America from Calif. through Panama Canal and up US east coast. Ship which also had huge laden of Gold bullion, ran into hurricane of N Carolina coast and sank. (Documentary History Channel "Ship of Gold".

Addie taken aboard rescuing ship, Ansel and other male
passengers left to bear fate of ship. Ansel miracously
picked out of water, couple re-united at Norfork, Va.

Records show Ansel and Addie had two children. Jennie, born 1859 in Calif. , Ansel born 1864. (1880 Census records of Milbrae, San Mateo, Calif.

Ansel Ives Easton died 22 Aug 1868
Addie (Mrs A M Easton age 43 and two children show on 1880 census living at San Mateo, Calif. with her brother, D O Mills, his wife and two children, Ogden and Lizzie Mills.
Mrs A M Easton shows as widowed.

Above data does not correlate with initial thoughts that
Ansel and Addie Easton of the Ship Wreck incident is the
same Ansel and Addie Easton that shows on the Pennsylvania
1900 Census, unless the entries were for Addie the mother and Ansel, the son. Since the extracted records of the 1900 Census will not be published for some time it will be a while before the extracted film and batch # will be available for viewing again.

Ansel Easton, son of Addie and Ansel, born 19 Dec 1865
marrid 19 Dec 1888 to Sarah Louise Adams, Had son, Ansel
Mills Easton born 23 Jun 1890, died 13 May 1893.
