Dr. William Easton, Falkirk, Scot - 1910
I am searching on behalf of an elderly neighour to make contact with William Easton or his family of Falkirk, Scotland.
Dr. Easton was a professor at Edinburgh University in the forties/fifties.He lectured on mechanical or industrial or chemical engineering - not sure which.
He would have been born around 1909 - believe his parents were David and Margaret Easton. His address around the late 1940's was: Whytcolm, Brightons, Falkirk. Another address around the same time is "Pentland" 19 Hodge Street, Falkirk. He was a very good musician, Choir leader?, writer of poetry.
My neighbour, who is now in her nineties, went on the grand tour of the home country in the forties and became betrothed to Bill - making promises to return and marry. On her return to Austalia, she was obliged to marry a chap who had been waiting in the wings for a very long time.I believe there were some letters sent each way and then contact was lost.It is not known what happened to Bill from early in the fifties.
Grateful for any help or suggestions to point me in the right direction.
Regards from Melbourne, Australia
