Lynn MA. and Portland are intriguing ....but does it mean anything? What was his address in Portland? I know pretty much the whereabouts of Watson from 1892 until his death. If H.P. lived near by... we may have something.
Back to NH/ME, John (1791), John had "probably" had another brother Samuel. There is a Uncle Sam/Samuel mentioned in the letters I have, he was a blacksmith as was John, I assume that is the same Samuel in Dwelling No. 113. I have no proof that they were brothers so I have not included him.
Ezekiel Porter Eastman, soundsinteresting ,but for awhile I thought John Watson Eastman meant something...but it didn't.
Have you checked any Porter families in NH. or Maine?
Another similarity regarding our research... family lore has it that Watson ran away from home at the age of fifteen ....went out west, I do not know where he was from 1880-1892, either California and/or Washington I suspect.
Thanks for filling some of the bits and pieces and yes, I would like the marriages for the earlier Eastmans on my list.
John
