Everett's car stolen, St. Charles, Ill., 1934
St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Oct. 4, 1934. Eastman's Car Thieves Occupy Prison Cells At Montgomery, Ala. Rogers and Dunn, who got playful with Everett Eastman's new Ford V-8 and drove it down to Alabama, have their room and board now provided for the next 25 years.
Attempting to rob a gas station for a supply for the V-8, they fell into the hands of the law. As the Chronicle has already told, the Kane county badge of deputy sheriff issued to Eastman and kept in the car, was found by the officers who wire them that the car was stolen. Within two weeks the two men were in prison in Montgomery, Ala.
Everett has not yet got his car.
