I recently received a history of my fathers side of the family (Eastman). It goes back to John Eastman born 1810 in Vermont. He married Nancy Maria Gilbert in Newport, New Hampshire in 1831 and moved to Michigan in 1847. I wonder if they could be related. I am trying to find out who his parents were and if there were any other siblings. I have a cousin, who compiled the history, who might have the answer. She is currently out of state, but I may be able to get in touch with her. If they are related, she may have information that could help you. When I receive an answer, I will post here again and let you know what I find out.
