Correction needed on one of the daughters of Charles Smith Eastin, son of Philip and Sarahana Hite (Smith).

In one of my early group sheets on their family I wrongly listed a daughter, Margaret, who I guessed was a daughter of Charles S. Eastin, and this has been passed along and is circulating. I guessed that Margaret was an Eastin because she named one of her children Van Swearingen Doty, b. 20 Jan. 1840. I have since that time learned that Samuel Doty's wife's name is Margaret Lawrence, they married in Coles Co., Ill. on 19 April 1834. In their marriage record Samuel's last name is erroneously spelled as Daugherty.

This means that Charles S. Eastin and Sarah Swearingen had four children who died young. Previously I listed 3 children who died young. Please delete Margaret from the list of Charles Smith Eastin's and Sarah Swearingen. I am Sorry my wrong guess was passed on.
