This doesn't address the identity of Stephen's parents, but it does indicate his children. The following is Stephen's will. The original is in the Madison County Kentucky records, and I believe, on pages 201-202 of whichever book it is in.
I, Stephen Eastin of the County of Madison and Commonwealth of Kentucky
being low of health but of sound and disposing mind and wishing to settle and dispose of any worldly property do make publish and declare this my last will and testament as follows to wit--first it is my will and desire that all my negro slaves (to wit) Hannah and her children Kitty, Lucy, Amy and her child, Mandy, Franky and Daniel shall be manumitted and free from and after my decease, but my boy slave Daniel to be subject to the restriction I shall hereafter appoint.2. It is my further will and desire that all my just debts if any I shall owe at my decease shall be paid out of my personal estate.ThirdI do give
bequeath and devise unto my son Reuben Eastin one half of all my estate whether real personnal [?] to him and his heirs forever but not to be paid over or delivered to him in possession beforethe twenty fifth of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixteen and during the period last aforesaid. My executor, whom I shall hereafter name, shall keep and retain in his hands that portion of my estate devised as a foresaid to my son Reuben

Further it is my will and desire that my executor hereafter named shall act as guardian to my aforementioned boy slave Daniel until Daniel shall have arrived at the age of twenty one years ( he being now about nine years old) and that said Daniel shall be put or bound by my executor to the trade of a tanner until he shall have arrived at the age of twenty one years aforesaid at which
time he shall be free--further I do hereby constitute and appoint my good and trusty friend Talton Embry Executor of this my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke disavow and declare null and void all and every former will or wills purporting to be my last will and testament and do make publish and declare this to be my only true last will and testament and do make publish and declare this to be my only true last will and testament. In testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of September in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.
