Nothing like a puzzle to wrap up the year!
I have a paid Ancestry.com account and use it for sources ONLY if they are valid sources (eg, census, birth certs, etc). I don't use other people's data for anything more than leads.
I'm intrigued by Archives.com, which appears to have access to more death records and obits than Ancestry. That being said, I haven't signed up for it yet.
I am one of the proud owners of an original diary written by Philip Easterly, son of Casper Branner Easterly (and my 2G-grandfather). It is interesting that he mentions "Barton" as Moses' son's name, rather than Isaac Barton.
Consider me "on the case!" We know the date of death is limited to 1860 to 1964. So that should help.
