Origional Documents Discovered
I am pleased to announce the very important discovery of the original writings of the Easterly Family records by Philip Easterly (b. 1`815). It is the account that begins " Record of the Easterly family"
"About the year A.D. 1742 three brothers Jacob, George and Conrad Easterly Emmigrated from Germany to the
British Colonies afterward the United States of America".
The account of the Easterly family history appar in a personal journal by Philip Easterly, in his own hand writing. In addition to the Easterly family writings, other artifacts were discovered in the find. A complete inventory will be announced at a later date. I have seen a copy of page one of the journal and it is identical to previous copies I have seen over the years.
Many copies of the first typed transcription of the original documents have been around for years. A few copies
of the hand written version, many time reproduced, have also been around for years. Various descendants have added updates, with the differences being only in the added portions.
The owner of the documents has graciously assured me that after catologing, copying andpreservation of the douments, I will be furnished copies of the contents of the find. At that point I will post as much as possible on the Easterly website(http://easterlyfamilypages.net) and include the information in the book I am now writing. (Still.)
"the search goes on"
