Hello Carol: The names mentioned in your posting sound familiar. My mother's father was Alvin Easterbrook [born 1876]. His father was named William [born Nov. 1847]. William's mother was named Mary [birth name Buckingham]. William's father was named Thomas [born November 28, 1824]. Wiliam's mother was named Ann [but the birth record original [which I have] does not state her last name. Both William and Thomas were born in Buckfastleigh in the County of Devon [England]. I have the original birth records. But the record of Thomas is a Register of Baptism in the Parish of Buckfastleigh in the County of Devon from the year 1824. I don't think birth certificates were issued that far back. I do remember my mother and grandfather talking about Eliza and several others mentioned in your note. My grandfather died in 1961. Hope this helps -- yet it may simply be a lead going noplace. Wish you luck. Ken Whiting [ ken_d_whiting@yahoo.com ].
