Dear all, For information - my mothers side of the family were Easthope's they originate from a small area in Shropshire(Easthope Town)England. Many of the early records I have traced relating to my ancestors have variations in the spelling of their surname e.g. Eastup/Estup/Eastop/Eastep etc. During the 1800's they were mostly to be found working the Canal system between Cheshire/Shropshire/Stafford.
