John Eastep, B. Aug 31 1861, was the grandfather of my grandmother, Trudie Brackeen Adams. Her mother was Mary Eastep. Her father was William Richard Brackeen, great-grandson of William or Richard Shoemaker and Isabella Shoemaker.
It is possible they were related through marriage to Bettie Shoemaker.
The branch close to our home is Shoemaker Branch and I believe there is a Shoemaker cemetery close by.
There were at least some Shoemakers living here at one point, though I've not found Bettie.
